What Are You Sending Out This Holiday To The People In Your Database?
You already know the importance of keeping a database, filled with past clients, potential customers, vendors you work well with now or would like to work with in the future, media contacts, and suppliers. But how do you keep in touch with these people on a regular basis?
Around this time of year, I begin putting together my holiday card. My cards have become infamous amongst the people on my database. I make them very personal, and include photos of my entire family (daughter and puppy). I use special papers, ribbons, creative photos – anything to make them very unique. Plus I look for ideas in craft stores and card stores. Then I spend the month of November producing them, addressing them, and getting them ready for mailing.
The day after Thanksgiving I have them out into the mail.
You would be amazed at the response I receive from this easy marketing tool.
I’ve created relationships with prominent wedding coordinators – “anyone who sends me a personal holiday card, I have to get to know them better”.
I’ve added profit to my December sales.
I’ve added new clients to my portfolio.
I’ve gained new resources for future use.
All from the simple use of a personal holiday card.
